The Centralized Diversion Fund

Centralized Diversion Fund (CDF): In 2018 Africatown International became the managers

of the Centralized Diversion Fund (CDF). The CDF is one of the region's larger grassroots resources comprising flexible funding that provides diversion services to help people avoid homelessness. The fund provides assistance with move-in costs (security deposits first/last month’s rent) relocation assistance to permanent housing payment on rental debt in collections and other assistance to help households move into permanent housing. Since 2018 this program has helped over 1 600 households secure housing.
